What must I do to be saved?

Realize that you are a sinner

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God [Rom. 3.23]. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves.[1 John: 1.8] Realize that the penalty of sin is death.

Believe in Jesus Christ as your savior

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [John 3.16]

Confess your sins

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [1 John 1.9]

Live the gospel

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. [James 1.22]
